It was noted that the total excavation volume for the lake reaches 4.6 million cubic meters, with daily execution rates increased from 30,000 to 40,000 cubic meters per day to complete the required works according to the planned timeline. The project also includes the construction of a main lifting station in New Marina with a capacity of 72,000 cubic meters per day, along with a discharge pipeline from the station and an irrigation pipeline. The project components include the implementation of New Marina By The Lake, in addition to a 500-meter-long water tunnel, two pumping stations with a capacity of 3.25 cubic meters per second for each station, as well as pipeline networks. The New Marina By The Lake inlet project is also being carried out, along with a bridge project to connect Marina 8 with Zone 22. Following the inspection of the Marina By The Lake project, the Prime Minister’s tour continued to the site of several ongoing efficiency upgrade and development works. He listened to an explanation from Dr. Eng. Mohamed Khalafallah, Head of the Tourist Villages Authority, regarding the expansion and efficiency upgrade works of the service road from Marina Gate 1 to Marina Gate 3, which extends for 6.1 km, as well as the development of the Champs-Élysées area. It was also noted that development and expansion works are being resumed on the road of Zone 22, along with the development of the axes of Marina Gates 1 and 2. The Prime Minister was also briefed on the efficiency upgrade works of the Marakia and Marabella roads, as well as the status of expanding, upgrading, and restoring four bridges at the Marina El Alamein Tourist Center, in addition to the development of Marina’s entrances and the works completed so far. The Prime Minister then moved to the project for upgrading the gates of the Marina Tourist Center, where he viewed the model for the development of Marina Gate 2, which has been completed with a 100% completion rate.
